Nick Cooke
Nick grew up immersed in the traditional folk world, and has been playing and dancing with
Bristol Morris Men from a very young age. His major influences are Andy Cutting and John
Kirkpatrick and he brings a great energy to the melodeon, blending in European styles.
Nick also plays with English Ceilidh Band Pepper in the Brandy and dances with Black Swan Rapper.
Oh yes, and Glory Strokes of course!

Jemma Gurney
Jemma plays soprano sax and whistle. She is a member of Pecsaetan morris and was president of Sheffield
University Ceilidh Society. She also is a Shooting Roots tutor at Sidmouth International Festival.

Nigel Holmes
Nigel has been playing music for many years and has had great success with Hekety. However in
this line-up his bass guitar has remained on the stand and his six-string talents have come to
the fore. He draws influences from Gavin Davenport and James Fagan, and has melded experience
from a wide range of bands with whom he has played. He also enjoys English, French and
Scandinavian dance. Nigel also plays with the "Glam Rock Ceilidh" band, Glory Strokes.

Aisling O'Brien
Aisling plays the fiddle. Like Jemma she has been Ceilidhsoc president and dances with Pecsaetan. She also plays English
Bagpipes.

Lee O'Donnell
Lee plays bass guitar in the band, likes a wide range of music and has drawn influences from
many sources (Blowzabella and James Fagan especially). He has been playing various instruments since a young
age and has been involved in Sheffield CeilidhSoc for several years. Elsewhere Lee plays the melodeon and has been known
to appear incognito with Glory Strokes on keyboards.
